15 images project: Chapter 1

Every end of the month, I review the photos I have taken since the acquisition of my interest in photography, so let me share with you my 15 images project, an effort to further sharpen my skills in capturing unique moments and things while setting foot on a place I've never been before or even to a place I frequent in. :) There will be 15 photographs that I will pick every end of the month, and all of them have my interesting story with it. Stay tuned! :)

Tomas Pinpin St., Binondo, Manila - A temple located in the corner of a street of the Filipino Chinatown
Sunken graden, UP Diliman - A rare scene where only two people are seen in the middle of this grass-deprived landscape.
Laoag, Ilocos Norte - A backhoe prepares the land for an excavation beside the Sinking Bell tower of Laoag, a future site of an SM mall.
Bocaue, Bulacan - Two horses simultaneously consume their merienda.
Dong Bei Dumplings, Binondo, Manila - A place where you can see authentic handmade dumplings.
Tayuman Station, Manila - A pink sunset envelopes the evening sky while I wait for the train.
Market, Market!, Taguig - A pile of books stacked uniformly in the shelves of this book shop.
Quiapo, Manila. - Five women sharing different facial expressions.
Our new dog, stares at me while shielding herself from the noonday sun.
Starbucks, Binondo - Glazed cinnamon swirls
Silang, Cavite - A really nice locally made table and chair set
Fort Bonifacio, Taguig - A seemingly weird berry I found while walking the streets of McKinley Hill
UP Diliman - Isaw and Gulaman
Quiapo, Manila - an open air eatery
Fort Bonifacio, Taguig - a rare type of Solanum tuberosum (potato)

  2. Shinobu is such a charmer :) You have the eye, Byron. An unsolicited advise though - go out of the box of convention and practiced meter! Way to go.

  3. Thanks Ed! I think this is just my way of compensating for being tied around the metro. I want to reach far places like you too!

  6. Uy this is a nice project, and it's a little different unlike the Project 365 na super gasgas na and wala namang nakakatapos. =))

I think you're the only person I know who still shoots in film so that's a good thing. Keep it up! =)

I should think of a new project din by next month.

  7. I have tried using this "The Morning After" design but it just won't work for me. I liked the way it looks good on your blog, though. ^^

Anyway, you are doing it right. Just keep on taking pictures. Mastery comes from doing it over and over and over again.

  11. Ang galing mo with film!

Hokei, yung sa Sunken Garden kakatapos lang ba ng UP Fair niyan? Or this month mo lang ba tinake lahat ng photos? Nasa UP kasi ako almost every week pero hanggang Maskom lang so di ko nakikita Sunken pero from my football / touch rugby days alam ko na ganyan ang itsura ng Sunken after UP Fair. Hahaha.

  12. Beautiful photos! The one shot at Market, Market could've have been a cover for CD released in the 90's. Very pop art-ish.

  20. Unfortunately, yes... again. :(

It's fun to take a walk once in a while.. And it helps to bring a compact one rather than the bulky ones. :)
